Pyrenean Mountain Dog

Substantial and impressive looking, the Pyrenean Mountain Dog, is among the largest of dog breeds. Commonly considered to be all white, he can in fact have grey, pale yellow or badger (blaireau) markings.

Originating from the Pyrenean mountain range between France and Spain, the Pyrenean Mountain Dog was used as a guard, protecting flocks from wolves and other predators.

Confident but composed, gentle, affectionate and tolerant the Pyrenean Mountain Dog is not a tremendously active breed. He is territorial, and makes an imposing and somewhat vocal guardian.
