Norfolk Terrier

Until relatively recently the Norfolk Terrier and the Norwich Terrier were not separately distinguished, both were considered general East Anglian farm dogs. The drop eared dog is now known as the Norfolk Terrier, while the Norwich Terrier has ears which stand erect.

The Norfolk Terrier is typically a short-legged rat catching terrier, fearless without feistiness and possessing a delightful disposition. Inquisitive and often water loving, Norfolk Terriers love to dig, and in common with most terriers, cannot resist the thrill of the chase when opportunity allows.
