Lancashire Heeler

Although the origins of the Lancashire Heeler are uncertain, there is much to support the suggestion that 'Welsh heeler' the cattle herding Corgi, and ratter, the Manchester Terrier, contributed to breed development.

The Lancashire Heeler is tough, intelligent and energetic little character able to earn his keep on the farm, herding livestock, controlling vermin and catching rabbits. Eager to please, but with an inventive mind, he can be challenging if under-occupied and tends to dominate other dogs.
