Greyhound

Undeniably the fastest of all sighthounds, and possessed of an insatiable hunting instinct, for both the chase and the kill, at home the Greyhound is a gentle, faithful and affectionate family companion.

Strong, muscular and athletic in appearance, Greyhounds do not need extended periods of daily exercise, they are bred for sprinting rather than endurance and can be less demanding than many other breeds in terms of exercise requirements. Instinctively a pack hound this is a breed that prefers company to solitude.

Greyhounds live most happily in quiet home environments, enjoying the company of their humans and other dogs, however their high prey drive, and sheer speed, can make some individuals unsuitable to co-exist with cats and toy-breed dogs, although others do happily live alongside small animal pets.
