Cesky Terrier

National dog of the Czech Republic, the Cesky is not a typical terrier in terms of temperament, he has a gentle nature for a terrier breed and is a relatively biddable, companion with Scottish and Sealyham Terrier heritage.

The Cesky Terrier was designed as a multi-purpose breed: a keen hunter in the forest tracking deer and wild boar, a loving and obedient family pet, and a glamorous, but easily prepared show dog.

Intuitive and sensitive, intelligent and quick to learn, the Cesky Terrier needs firm consistent training in a quiet but insisting manner. His silky coat requires regular attention to prevent matting and will need clipping.
