Bedlington Terrier

Once known as the Rothbury Terrier and boasting a longer traceable pedigree that any other terrier breed, the unique lamb like appearance of the Bedlington Terrier belies his tough, sporting nature and success as a rabbit hunter.

Calmer and less boisterous than many other terriers, the Bedlington Terrier is known as a dog with a good nature and mild manners. Fearless and fast enough to bay a badger or a fox, quick and agile enough to course a hare and a first-rate water dog, with the look of a lamb and heart of a lion the Bedlington is one of the most reliable terriers.

Bedlington Terriers make cheerful, lovely companions, and are eager to please, they possess strong sporting instincts, are good tempered with an affectionate nature. Mild in repose but full of courage when roused.
